Fabrication, QA/QC & African project supply
Sunlight and outdoor exposure
State the expected time from unpacking to filling and the total exposed service period. Review the selected fabric and thread weathering evidence, storage protection and any covering requirement. UV-stabilised does not mean unlimited outdoor life.
Strength matched to loading
HF woven fabric options include nominal 45 / 45, 60 / 60 and 105 / 105 kN/m tensile classes. Choose with slurry density, filled geometry, seam orientation and filling procedure. Fabric tensile strength is not a safe working load, seam rating or allowable pump pressure.
Chemistry matched to the stream
Review pH together with chemical identities, concentration, temperature and exposure. Consider outer fabric, liner, thread and connections. Mine tailings, treatment sludge and process residues may require different constructions.
Rainfall, drainage and water management
Include rainfall, run-on water, pad drainage, collection capacity and access in the site layout. Provide the required filtrate route and water-quality targets. A bag or tube must operate within a wider water-management plan.
Remote sites and practical handling
Specify road access, packaging, offloading arrangements, site storage and available equipment. Include operating instructions, inspection access and the solids-removal method. Any loaded lifting duty requires its own validated design.
Local manufacture and responsive supply
Stock availability and South African fabrication provide options for urgent work, replacement units and custom dimensions. Confirm quantities and programme early so technical approval, fabrication and delivery align with site readiness.

Are FlowTex dewatering bags and tubes available from stock?
FlowTex holds stock for immediate supply. Ask for the available grade, dimensions and quantity; allocation is confirmed for the order. Custom dimensions or a different construction require a fabrication programme. Dispatch readiness and delivery time are confirmed separately.
What should I provide for a firm technical quotation?
Send the application, wet volume or flow, solids concentration and measurement basis, particle information, chemistry, filtrate target, dimensions, quantity, destination and required date. Identify any loaded handling requirement.
How is the fabric choice confirmed?
Compare published grade properties with representative slurry trials and the fabricated assembly requirements. The supplied construction, filling limits and handling arrangement are agreed for the actual project.
