Materials, Recyclability & End-of-Life
Selected for your slurry. Manufactured for your project.
FlowTex constructions use polypropylene or polyethylene fabrics, with nonwoven polypropylene liners in selected composites. Polymer identification helps recovery planning; it does not mean every used bag will be accepted for recycling.
Product selection
Technical guidance for your project
Compare the published grades, then confirm the supplied construction and project requirements in the technical submission.

Fabrication, QA/QC & African project supply
Segregate clean fabrication offcuts
Where local recovery routes accept them, segregate clean PP and PE offcuts by polymer. Keep incompatible components separate and agree acceptance with the recycler.
Assess used bags
Dewater and characterise the retained material. Contamination, embedded sludge and cleaning requirements can prevent recycling. Confirm waste handling and acceptance before declaring a recovery route.
Review the complete construction
Mixed layers, ePTFE thread, ports, straps and closures may affect recycling. A recyclable base polymer does not establish that the finished used composite is recyclable.
Measure environmental outcomes
Use project data to compare transport, wet mass, cake solids and disposal requirements. Do not publish blanket carbon, water-recovery or volume-reduction percentages without a defined comparison and evidence.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Are FlowTex dewatering bags and tubes available from stock?
FlowTex holds stock for immediate supply. Ask for the available grade, dimensions and quantity; allocation is confirmed for the order. Custom dimensions or a different construction require a fabrication programme. Dispatch readiness and delivery time are confirmed separately.
What should I provide for a firm technical quotation?
Send the application, wet volume or flow, solids concentration and measurement basis, particle information, chemistry, filtrate target, dimensions, quantity, destination and required date. Identify any loaded handling requirement.
How is the fabric choice confirmed?
Compare published grade properties with representative slurry trials and the fabricated assembly requirements. The supplied construction, filling limits and handling arrangement are agreed for the actual project.
Discuss your dewatering specification
Send the feed, volume, filtrate target, dimensions, location and programme. We will help define the next step.
