Characterise the feed
Primary, secondary or mixed sludge type, biological solids, dry-solids content, conditioning history and filtrate return route.
Select by trial
Compare polymer-conditioned Mono and composite trials. Record cake solids and drainage at defined times, including the initial filtrate.
Plan the complete operation
Plan hygiene, odour management, filtrate return or treatment, access and approved solids handling.
Specify the result
Agree dry-solids processing duty, filtrate criteria, cake handling condition, sampling points and observation period. Establish acceptance criteria before procurement.

Frequently asked questions
Are FlowTex dewatering bags and tubes available from stock?
FlowTex holds stock for immediate supply. Ask for the available grade, dimensions and quantity; allocation is confirmed for the order. Custom dimensions or a different construction require a fabrication programme. Dispatch readiness and delivery time are confirmed separately.
Can filtrate go straight back to the wastewater works?
Define the receiving point and acceptance criteria with the plant. Measure suspended solids and other relevant parameters. Visual clarity alone does not establish suitability or compliance.
What information is needed for sewage-sludge trials?
Identify primary, biological or mixed sludge, current conditioning, solids content, feed variation and target cake condition. Agree sampling and sample transport requirements before testing.
