Monofilament Dewatering Tubes

South African manufacture and Africa-wide project supply, with fabric selection, dimensions and operating requirements matched to your slurry.

Monofilament Dewatering Tubes

Selected for your slurry. Manufactured for your project.

Structured woven monofilament filters offer three opening-size and drainage combinations. Select a tube using feed trials, the required filtrate and the complete fabricated assembly.

Specifications that inform the right choice

Compare the published grades, then confirm the supplied construction and project requirements in the technical submission.

Technical notes and test basis

Reference fabric averages. O90: EN ISO 12956; normal permeability: EN ISO 11058; tensile: EN ISO 10319; puncture: EN ISO 12236. Not finished-bag pressure, throughput or lifting ratings. O90 is not an absolute particle cut-off.

Tube dimensions and fabrication envelope
DimensionHow to specify it
Maximum stated fabrication sizeUp to 15 m circumference × 30 m finished length
Lay-flat width at 15 m circumferenceApproximately 7.5 m before seam allowances; not filled width
Circular-equivalent diameter at 15 m circumferenceApproximately 4.77 m; a geometric reference, not operating height
Working capacityDetermined from filled geometry, allowable height, slurry density and consolidation
Ports and connectionsSpecify diameter, quantity, spacing, hose connection and filling sequence
HandlingState pad-based emptying or a separately designed and validated lifting duty
Technical notes and test basis

Capability confirmed by FlowTex management. Availability of any size/fabric combination is subject to fabrication review. The maximum dimensions are not a guaranteed working volume, pump rating or approval to stack or lift.

Fabrication, QA/QC & African project supply

Filtration before assumptions

Compare the actual feed against candidate grades. Fine or colloidal particles may require conditioning or a composite liner even where the filter opening looks small.

Structural selection

Fabric tensile strength describes the roll material. Seams, ports, density, filled geometry and filling height determine the finished assembly assessment.

Installation and operation

Use a stable prepared drainage area and controlled filtrate collection. Agree the filling sequence, operating limits and solids-removal method before delivery.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are FlowTex dewatering bags and tubes available from stock?

FlowTex holds stock for immediate supply. Ask for the available grade, dimensions and quantity; allocation is confirmed for the order. Custom dimensions or a different construction require a fabrication programme. Dispatch readiness and delivery time are confirmed separately.

What should I provide for a firm technical quotation?

Send the application, wet volume or flow, solids concentration and measurement basis, particle information, chemistry, filtrate target, dimensions, quantity, destination and required date. Identify any loaded handling requirement.

How is the fabric choice confirmed?

Compare published grade properties with representative slurry trials and the fabricated assembly requirements. The supplied construction, filling limits and handling arrangement are agreed for the actual project.

Discuss your dewatering specification

Send the feed, volume, filtrate target, dimensions, location and programme. We will help define the next step.
